Social Security System holds Global Kabayan Day in Hong Kong

SSS Global Kabayan Day Overseas Filipino Workers social security services Hong Kong SSS 69th Anniversary

The Social Security System (SSS) held its 69th Anniversary celebration through the 2026 SSS Global Kabayan Day in Hong Kong from September 12 to 14. The event took place at the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW)-Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) OFW Global Center.

Designed to support Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), pensioners, and community leaders, the three-day activity provided an opportunity for members to learn about SSS programs, raise concerns, and access assistance. The event was supported by the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong and various Philippine government offices.

A town hall meeting opened the event, allowing community leaders and media to engage directly with SSS officials. During the presentations, Atty. Paul Erik D. Manalo and Atty. Marissa C. Mapalo provided updates on SSS services and the latest social security programs available to members working abroad.
