Social sports projects receive support in Parauapebas and Curionópolis

Various social initiatives are promoting sports and social inclusion in the Brazilian municipalities of Parauapebas and Curionópolis.

In Curionópolis and Parauapebas, the mining company Ligga has distributed sports kits to 100 girls participating in the ‘Ligga Campeã’ project. The initiative, executed in partnership with SESI, provides weekly training in futsal, volleyball, and athletics to foster human development and citizenship.

Additionally, in Parauapebas, Grupo Equatorial signed a R$ 300,000 agreement with the ‘Ferinhas do Norte’ project through the Sports Incentive Law. Managed by the Associação de Desportos Carajás, the project will provide handball training and multidisciplinary support, including psychological and social assistance, to 100 children and adolescents aged 5 to 17.
