Social support initiatives address vulnerabilities for women in Spain

In Spain, social organizations are reporting on the challenges faced by vulnerable women. The APRAMP project ‘Rediseña Tu Futuro’ in Badajoz is working to improve the employability of women who have survived human trafficking and exploitation. The initiative provides individualized employment itineraries and practical workshops in areas such as textiles, aesthetics, IT, and cooking to foster economic autonomy.

Separately, Fundación REDMADRE released data regarding women in vulnerable situations facing unplanned pregnancies. In 2025, 85.40% of women who initially considered abortion chose to continue their pregnancies after receiving support from the network. The data indicates that many of these women face significant hardships, including unemployment (69.98%) and foreign nationality (nearly 80%).

Amaya Azcona, Director General of Fundación REDMADRE, stated that public support for pregnant women remains insufficient, calling on administrations to implement more effective and realistic measures to assist those in precarious circumstances.
