Social welfare payments distributed in İzmir and Erzurum

Local authorities in Turkey have implemented significant social welfare payments for August. In İzmir, the Metropolitan Municipality increased its Retiree Support Program, raising monthly shopping and rent assistance to 4,000 TL per household. During the August period, a total of 89,896,000 TL was distributed, consisting of 72,388,000 TL for shopping and 17,508,000 TL for rent. The program currently serves 19,100 people for shopping support and 5,000 for rent assistance. Additionally, eligible retirees receive free water for the first 4 cubic meters of monthly consumption.

In Erzurum, the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services completed August payments for the 'Disabled Home Care Service' under the Ministry of Family and Social Services. A total of 87,432,853.68 TL was transferred directly to caregivers to support the family-oriented care model. This initiative aims to allow disabled individuals to remain in family environments while providing financial stability to their caregivers.
