In the Västmanland region, opposition leaders Kenneth Östberg, Ulrika Spårebo, Karolina Myllergård, and Shpetim Pirr have criticized the current regional government's decision to remove surgical operations from the hospital in Köping. They contend that maintaining local surgical capabilities and 24-hour emergency services is essential for reducing waiting times and ensuring equitable healthcare access for all residents, regardless of location.
