Socialist Democracy Party focuses on youth political engagement

The Socialist Democracy Party (TDP) has held several events focused on youth engagement and future political strategies. During a “Political Conversations” program organized by the Liberal Democracy Movement, TDP Chairman Zeki Çeler discussed the necessity of integrating youth into the country’s economic, social, and digital transformation policies.

Çeler emphasized that for young people to remain in the country and build stable lives, policies regarding education, employment, housing, and health must place youth at the center. He noted that young people should not merely be viewed as future leaders but should have a direct voice in current decision-making processes.

Additionally, the TDP Youth Organization hosted an “Ada Modu” event, which included a speech by the 4th President, Mustafa Akıncı. The gathering brought together party leadership, including Nicosia Turkish Municipality Mayor Mehmet Harmancı, to discuss the importance of youth energy in continuing the party’s political tradition. Çeler highlighted the party's goal of regaining representation in Parliament through increased organization and solidarity across generations.
