Socialist Movement discusses election cooperation with Mi snaga naroda

The Socialist Movement (PS), led by Aleksandar Vulin, confirmed it held discussions with Branimir Nestorović and the leadership of the Mi snaga naroda movement regarding a potential joint appearance in upcoming elections. However, the PS stated it does not wish to be part of internal disputes within the movement or cause a rift in their ranks. The PS emphasized its stance as a national-responsible left, supporting alliances with Russia and China while opposing EU and NATO integration.

Concurrently, Borislav Antonijević, a member of the Mi snaga naroda Presidency, has challenged the legitimacy of a recent extraordinary assembly. Antonijević claims that the removal of Presidency members who oppose a coalition with the Socialist Movement was illegal and violated the party's statute. He noted that the procedure for replacing members was not followed and that the assembly failed to address the planned agenda regarding election participation. Antonijević maintained that a coalition with the Socialist Movement has not been officially approved and that previous plans for cooperation with Vladimir Gajić’s People's Party had not been finalized.
