Socialist Party of Albania electoral impact analyzed

An analysis of the potential electoral impact on the Socialist Party (PS) following the suppression of 15 municipalities in a new territorial division suggests the party may maintain significant advantages. Despite opposition from several local municipal councils, data from previous elections indicates strong statistical leads in the newly expanded municipalities.

In the expanded Fier municipality, the PS held a lead of 21,903 votes over opposition candidates, combining results from Fier and Patos. In the expanded Vlorë municipality, the party maintained a lead of 18,024 votes, incorporating results from Vlorë and Selenicë. Similarly, in the expanded Lushnjë municipality, the PS held a lead of 11,459 votes across Lushnjë and Divjakë. In the expanded Librazhd municipality, the party held a lead of 9,498 votes between Librazhd and Prrenjas.
