Sociedad Cultural Renovación holds 46th literary contest awards

The Sociedad Cultural Renovación held the awards ceremony for the 46th edition of its literary contest, ‘Por Nuestro País Primero’, in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. The event took place at the Hotel Marien to recognize creativity and promote reading and writing skills.

María Amelia Finke Brugal, president of the organization, emphasized the contest's role in the cultural formation of children and youth through literary workshops. The adult categories for short stories and poetry allow participation from Dominicans living both domestically and abroad. The ceremony also honored the legacy of poet José Mármol, whose name is associated with the adult poetry prize.
