Sociedad de Fomento de Virrey del Pino celebrates 50 years

The Sociedad de Fomento de Virrey del Pino celebrated its 50th anniversary at its headquarters located at kilometer 40 of Route 3 in La Matanza. The event brought together hundreds of neighbors, athletes, and community leaders to honor the institution's founders, who established the first board of directors on May 4, 1976.

The organization operates under a model of total self-management, receiving no national or provincial subsidies. Instead, it relies exclusively on member contributions, volunteer work, and funds raised through its own activities to support local families.

Currently, the institution provides various sports programs, including volleyball with 170 players, youth football with 110 children across six categories, and basketball with 70 students, alongside artistic skating.
