Sociedade Bíblica do Brasil produces 215 million Bibles

The Sociedade Bíblica do Brasil (SBB) operates the largest Bible printing facility in Latin America, located in Barueri, São Paulo. The plant produces approximately 30,000 Bibles per day across 88 languages, with a production capacity of one copy every three seconds. To date, the facility has manufactured 215 million Bibles, approximately 30% of which are exported to 122 different countries.

According to United Bible Societies reports, Brazil led the world in the distribution of complete printed Bibles in 2025, with 3.37 million copies distributed domestically, surpassing markets such as India, China, Nigeria, and the Philippines.

In support of religious outreach, the SBB has launched the ‘Novo Testamento com Salmos e Provérbios: A Boa Notícia’ campaign. This initiative provides an accessible, low-cost edition of the New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs designed for individuals new to the Scriptures. The edition features larger text and specialized tools to facilitate reading for first-time users.
