The Société des traversiers du Québec (STQ) reported strong results for its maritime services during the 2026 summer season.

The ferry link between L'Isle-aux-Coudres and Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive saw an exceptional season, transporting over 325,000 passengers and 156,520 vehicles between May and August. August was the busiest month with 115,832 passengers. The STQ noted a high service reliability rate, with 99% of scheduled crossings completed.

Additionally, the maritime service connecting Rimouski to Blanc-Sablon via the NM Bella-Desgagnés, operated by Relais Nordik, concluded a successful season. Between May 11 and September 14, 18 voyages transported 8,111 passengers. This service is vital for supplying isolated communities along the Côte-Nord and providing access to Anticosti Island.
