Congresso em Foco Award Brazilian Federal Deputies Socorro Neri Fernanda Melchionna popular vote

Federal Deputies Socorro Neri and Fernanda Melchionna have been named the best federal deputies for their respective states in the 2026 Congresso em Foco Awards, determined by popular vote.

Socorro Neri was recognized as the best federal deputy for Acre. This marks her third consecutive year of recognition by the award, following a specialized jury selection in 2024 and a popular vote win in 2025. Neri’s legislative focus includes education, women’s rights, and environmental sustainability.

Fernanda Melchionna (PSOL-RS) was elected by the public as the best federal deputy for Rio Grande do Sul. Melchionna, who has served in the Chamber of Deputies since 2018, is a member of the Education and Women’s Rights committees and previously gained prominence for her work regarding emergency aid during the COVID-19 pandemic.
