Socorro promotes ecotourism at 28th AVIRRP tourism fair

The tourist destination of Socorro, located in the Mantiqueira Mountains, is participating in the 28th AVIRRP tourism fair in Ribeirão Preto. The event serves as a strategic platform for the municipality to connect with travel agents, operators, and industry professionals.

Representatives from the Municipal Tourism Secretariat, the Municipal Tourism Council (COMTUR), and the Tourism Association (ASTUR), alongside local businesses, are promoting the destination under the theme “Socorro, Caminhos da Natureza”. The campaign emphasizes the city’s capacity for wellness and luxury tourism through immersive nature experiences, including ecotourism, adventure sports like rafting, rural tourism, and contemplation.

Tourism Secretary Genilda Barros noted that the fair provides essential contact with professionals who commercialize travel destinations, allowing the city to strengthen professional relationships and expand its presence in new markets and itineraries.
