SODERCAN launches Start Talent Cantabria to link companies with university talent
SODERCAN, the Cantabrian Development Society, has launched ‘Start Talent Cantabria,’ an initiative aimed at bridging the gap between regional companies and university talent. The program facilitates the development of undergraduate (TFG) and master’s (TFM) final projects based on real-world challenges presented by the local productive sector.
Participating organizations can address strategic projects involving innovation, digitalization, sustainability, or process improvement. Students gain practical experience by applying academic knowledge to professional environments. The program includes specialized professional guidance to help companies define challenges, identify suitable academic profiles, and monitor project execution.
Projects are expected to involve approximately 360 hours of dedication and may cover fields such as artificial intelligence, data analysis, circular economy, automation, and business strategy. Eduardo Arasti, the Regional Minister of Industry, Employment, Innovation, and Commerce, stated that the initiative seeks to transform innovation needs into concrete projects while allowing students to establish professional links within the Cantabrian economy.
