Sodimac launches construction training scholarships in Peru

Sodimac Peru has launched a new scholarship program to train construction workers in structural reinforcement and disaster prevention. Through its Círculo de Especialistas (CES), the company is providing 30 full scholarships for the second edition of the ‘Vivienda Progresiva’ program, an initiative created by Swisscontact.

The training aims to address significant seismic risks in Peru, where CENEPRED estimates that over 4.6 million homes are located in very high-risk zones for earthquakes. The program, which includes 32 in-person sessions at SENCICO's Los Olivos headquarters starting September 21, focuses on helping specialists identify structural issues and apply appropriate reinforcement techniques to improve housing safety.
