Sofía Montenegro loses in UFC debut against Delphine Benouaich

Argentine fighter Sofía Montenegro made her UFC debut at Fight Night in Paris, where she faced French opponent Delphine Benouaich. This debut followed a delay from February caused by health issues.

After a competitive first round, Benouaich secured a victory in the second round via submission. Following a heavy strike that staggered Montenegro, Benouaich utilized ground and pound before executing a rear-naked choke to end the bout.

Despite the loss, Montenegro expressed her intention to return to training quickly, stating on social media that while her passion was hurt, she remains a warrior. Montenegro becomes the sixth Argentine fighter to join the official UFC roster.
