Sofia Barberi, 23, was killed when a Fiat 500 struck the scooter she was riding in Ceriale, Savona province, Italy. A passenger in the car posted videos on social media that mocked the crash and later apologized. He left Italy on a low‑cost flight from Milan’s Malpensa airport, posting another video in which he smiled and said “all of Italy hates us”. The passenger, a Moroccan national, said his family received threats after the backlash. One other young woman in the scooter remains in serious condition.
