Sofia Coppola celebrates 20 years of ‘Marie Antoinette’

Director Sofia Coppola and actress Kirsten Dunst are marking the 20th anniversary of the film ‘Marie Antoinette’. The anniversary includes a new documentary, ‘Making Marie Antoinette’, which explores the production's behind-the-scenes process and its unique aesthetic, characterized by a post-punk and new wave soundtrack.

To celebrate, Sofia Coppola will hold a free book signing at the Fondation Cartier bookstore in Paris on September 20, 2026, from 15:00 to 17:00. Fans can have the book ‘Making Marie Antoinette’ signed, subject to availability. Additionally, a cinematic exhibition related to the film will launch at the Domaine du Trianon in Versailles on September 22, 2026.
