Sofia election commissions begin processing runoff ballots

Election commission representatives from the 23rd and 25th electoral districts have begun submitting protocols at the Arena 8888 hall in Sofia following the presidential runoff election.

Daniel Tunchev, head of the 23rd District Election Commission (RIC), reported that voter turnout was approximately 11% higher than the first round, reaching 43.57%. He noted that the election day proceeded smoothly with only five complaints, primarily regarding machine-printed receipts. A reported power issue with a voting machine in the Lozenets district was investigated and dismissed.

In Ruse, commission members arrived at the Arena Ruse center to submit documents. Early reports from local officials indicated no significant issues during the voting process. In the 25th district, 65 section committees have already handed in their ballots, while 125 have done so in the 23rd district.
