Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev announces deputy mayoral reshuffle

Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev has implemented several changes within his deputy mayoral team. Nikola Lyutov has resigned from his position overseeing the “Public Construction” directorate, a role that will now be held by Emiliyan Georgiev. Terziev described the departure as a mutual agreement and stated that the changes are part of a normal process aimed at increasing efficiency and accelerating key city projects.

Additionally, Svetlin Nenov has taken over the portfolio for “Digitalization, Innovation, and Economic Development.” Nenov’s responsibilities include accelerating prepared projects, automating processes, and developing digital services for citizens, such as the next stage of the Call Sofia platform. Former deputy Ivan Goychev will remain as an advisor to the mayor, focusing on digital transformation projects.

Regarding the transport and urban mobility directorate, Terziev will temporarily assume the functions of Viktor Chaushev, who is concluding his work in that sector. Terziev noted that while some projects have faced delays, the personnel shifts are not due to any single dramatic issue but rather a drive for faster project implementation.
