Sofia mobile phone store robbed of nearly 100,000 euros

Four masked individuals robbed a mobile phone store in the Mladost 1 district of Sofia, stealing devices valued at approximately 100,000 euros. The perpetrators used an axe to break into the business building and smashed the store's glass door.

Security footage shows the thieves emptied shelves and display cases into large bags in less than two minutes. Although a security team arrived within four minutes of the incident, the suspects had already fled the scene.

The store owner, Vladislav Kapitanov, noted that the thieves appeared to target high-value items that were easy to transport quickly. Following the robbery, authorities have opened a pre-trial investigation, and the Sofia Directorate of Internal Affairs (SDVR) is working to identify and apprehend the suspects. Kapitanov has advised individuals purchasing second-hand mobile phones to verify their documentation to avoid unknowingly buying stolen goods.
