Sofia neighborhood residents report home intrusion and delayed police response

Two mothers and their young children experienced a traumatic incident in the Ovcha Kupel neighborhood of Sofia after a man intruded into their homes. During the daytime, the man successfully entered one residence and stood near a mother and her child, before later attempting to force entry into a second home.

The victims reported that the man appeared to have bloodshot eyes and claimed he was not mentally well, citing medication as a defense. Despite the distress caused to the families, the police arrived approximately 40 minutes after the emergency call was placed. Following their arrival, the man was released by authorities after providing identification and information regarding his medication.
