Sofia Pampulov releases children's book series Zara and Texi

Bulgarian publisher Colibri is releasing a new children's book series titled ‘Zara and Texi’ on October 26. The series, written and illustrated by Sofia Pampulov, follows the adventures of a young girl named Zara and her dog, Texi.

The first installment features a small mystery where Zara and Texi investigate the disappearance of cookies from the kitchen. Inspired by real-life events involving the author's daughter and her dog, the 32-page book includes a homemade cookie recipe for children to make with their parents.

Sofia Pampulov is a Sofia-born artist and graduate of the ‘Iliya Petrov’ National School of Fine Arts. She has worked as a painter and tattoo artist for nine years and began creating these stories for her daughter.
