Sofia Pejrano cycles from Milan to Calabria for Physics studies

Sofia Pejrano, a graduate in Physical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, has chosen to pursue a Master’s degree in Physics at the University of Calabria (UniCal). To mark the beginning of this new academic chapter, Pejrano traveled from Milan to Rende by bicycle, crossing Italy in twelve days.

Pejrano decided to transition from an engineering focus to pure physics after a gap year, during which she realized her interests aligned more closely with scientific research. She selected the University of Calabria’s Department of Physics due to its research opportunities, high-quality laboratories, and the direct engagement she experienced with faculty and the scientific community during a previous visit to the Arcavacata campus.
