Sofia police seize €460,000 and drugs after chase in Borovo

Police from Sofia’s 06 and 05 criminal units carried out two coordinated operations in the Borovo district of the capital. After a high‑speed chase, officers detained a man known as Ventsi “White Negro”, discovering about €460,000 in cash and large quantities of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine and other narcotics.

In a parallel raid, a second suspect nicknamed “Bongo” was arrested in connection with a cannabis cultivation site. Police seized 88 cannabis plants, roughly 3 kg of dried material, a vacuum‑sealed bag of marijuana and the full set of grow‑equipment, including lighting, ventilation and irrigation systems. Investigations continue to determine the exact types and amounts of the seized substances.
