Sofia Raffaeli wins bronze at Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships

Sofia Raffaeli won the bronze medal in the individual all-around competition at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Frankfurt, Germany. This marks her fourth consecutive podium at the World Championships, following a gold in 2022, silver in 2023, and bronze in 2025.

Raffaeli’s performance secured the first Olympic qualification spot for the Italian team for the Los Angeles 2028 Games. After a challenging start in the ball rotation where she placed 11th, she recovered strongly with high scores in clubs and ribbon, ultimately finishing with a total of 117.550 points.

The gold medal was awarded to Germany’s Darja Varfolomeev with 119.500 points, marking her third consecutive world title. Bulgaria’s Stiliana Nikolova took the silver medal with 117.600 points, narrowly edging out Raffaeli by just 0.050 points.
