SOFOFA explores regional investment and economic integration

The Sociedad de Fomento Fabril (SOFOFA), Chile’s primary industrial guild, is actively pursuing regional economic integration and new investment opportunities. In Arica, the SOFOFA Executive Committee met with regional authorities to discuss strategic projects such as the Andean Amazon Central Corridor and the modernization of Economic Complementarity Agreement No. 22 between Chile and Bolivia.

Additionally, SOFOFA representatives met with Paraguay’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce to explore business prospects in sectors including agriculture, logistics, ports, timber, and technology. The discussions focused on leveraging the bilateral Free Trade Agreement and the double taxation avoidance treaty to facilitate Chilean capital entering the Paraguayan market, while also evaluating the potential of the Bioceanic Corridor.
