SOFOFA Hub conducts industrial technology tour in Antofagasta

SOFOFA Hub conducted its Industry Tour in the Antofagasta region on September 29 and 30, 2026, focusing on technological innovation and productivity. The mission brought together executives from various sectors, including representatives from Farmoquímica del Pacífico, Empresas Iansa, Enaex, Pucobre, SQM YNV, Soprocal, CMPC, and Molynor.

Participants visited several key sites to observe how scientific and industrial organizations integrate technology into their processes. The itinerary included the construction site of the Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) at Cerro Armazones and the ESO Paranal Observatory. Other visits included the Prillex América plant of Enaex and Molynor.

Rosario Navarro, president of SOFOFA, stated that the initiative aims to foster collaboration across different sectors to accelerate the adoption of automation, data, and artificial intelligence, ultimately making Chilean industry more competitive.
