SoftBank and Asylon Robotics advance autonomous security technology

Major developments in the security robotics sector highlight a shift toward autonomous physical security. SoftBank is reportedly in talks to acquire Allied Universal, the largest security services company in the United States, with a $30 billion valuation. The move aims to integrate AI-powered autonomous systems across Allied Universal’s massive workforce of 800,000 employees.

In a separate deal, Asylon Robotics has announced a $17 million strategic partnership with Securitas. This five-year contract involves providing security for a major U.S. critical infrastructure organization using 26 autonomous systems, including aerial drones and ground robots. The managed service combines quadcopter drones, ground-based quadrupeds, and human oversight from remote operations centers.

Additionally, security technology firm Knightscope reported significant growth, with preliminary Q3 revenue reaching approximately $8.7 million, a 177% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Knightscope also debuted Signals, an AI-driven orchestration software designed to provide real-time data and actionable intelligence.
