SoftBank Group shares rise as company announces 1 trillion yen retail bond issuance

SoftBank Group shares have seen a continued rise, driven by a recovery in the New York market and a 3.29% increase in its subsidiary, Arm Holdings. This movement has triggered buying interest in SoftBank Group stock.

Separately, SoftBank Group has announced the terms for its 70th series of unsecured corporate bonds, specifically targeting individual investors. The bonds, known as the ‘Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks Bond’, feature an annual interest rate of 4.75% with a total issuance amount of 1 trillion yen.

The 7-year bonds will be available for purchase in units of 1 million yen from September 7 to September 16, 2026. The funds raised are intended to be used for the redemption of domestic corporate bonds and to partially fund the acquisition of the ABB robotics business. The bonds have been assigned an ‘A’ rating by the Japan Credit Rating Agency.
