The Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks defeated the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters 6-2 at Es Con Field Hokkaido on the 16th. After falling behind 1-0 on a solo timely hit by Yuta Gōri, SoftBank rallied in the sixth inning, tying the game and then taking the lead with a run‑scoring play by veteran outfielder Yuki Yanagida.
