SoftBank Mimamori GPS receives Japan Mothers Association certification
The Japan Mothers Association has officially granted its recommended certification to SoftBank Corp.’s ‘Mimamori GPS’ service, effective September 1, 2026. The certification is intended to provide consumers with reliable information regarding products and services that support child-rearing.
SoftBank’s Mimamori GPS is a location-tracking service that allows parents to monitor their children’s real-time location and movement history via a smartphone. Key features include a notification button on the device, arrival and departure alerts for registered locations, and improved positioning accuracy through the use of dual-frequency GPS.
The service is designed to support working households and families with children entering elementary school. It is compatible with various mobile carriers, allowing parents who are not SoftBank users to utilize the service. The Japan Mothers Association noted the product's ease of use, high positioning accuracy, and its alignment with the goal of creating a supportive society for the child-rearing generation.
