SOFTGAMES announces acquisition strategy for instant and mobile games

Berlin-based instant games developer SOFTGAMES has announced an expansion strategy focused on further acquisitions of web and mobile casual games. This follows the company’s recent purchase of the Funday Games instant gaming portfolio.

CEO Alexander Krug and co-founder André Krug stated that the company is seeking titles with proven audiences, healthy retention, and clear intellectual property rights. The goal is to provide a centralized home for developers who may struggle to scale distribution, live operations, and monetization across various platforms such as Meta, Google, Microsoft, Reddit, and Samsung.

SOFTGAMES intends to leverage its existing infrastructure, data, and AI-enabled tooling to help acquired studios achieve global reach and faster releases without the friction of traditional downloads.
