Software engineer Vinay Gupta allegedly beaten to death by in-laws in Delhi

A 31-year-old software engineer, Vinay Gupta, was allegedly beaten to death by his in-laws at his residence in Nihal Vihar, Delhi. Gupta, who worked for Adobe in Noida, was reportedly involved in a domestic dispute with his wife, Rekha, regarding the administration of medicine to their four-month-old twins.

According to the victim's family, following the argument, Rekha allegedly summoned her relatives to the house. The family claims that the attack was preplanned, alleging that the household CCTV cameras were intentionally turned off before the relatives arrived. Gupta's mother stated that she had stepped away to arrange refreshments for the visitors when the assault began. She and the victim's father attempted to intervene, but the assailants continued the violence.

Gupta was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Delhi Police have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and have arrested four individuals, including the victim's wife, in connection with the incident.
