SoftwareOne and Crayon unify APAC channel businesses

SoftwareOne and Crayon have completed the integration of their channel businesses across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region under the SoftwareOne brand. The move aims to consolidate partner networks and vendor relationships to address rising demand for cloud, cybersecurity, data, and artificial intelligence services.

The integration follows projections from the International Data Corporation (IDC) suggesting that ICT spending in the APAC region could reach US$647 billion by 2026, with AI and generative AI spending specifically projected to hit US$370 billion by 2029.

Under the new structure, partners retain ownership of customer relationships while gaining access to expanded technical expertise, including solution architects and security specialists. Partners also gain access to the Cloud-iQ platform for subscription management and automated billing. SoftwareOne President of APAC, Varun Paliwal, stated that the success of the merger will be measured by the ability to create service opportunities for partners and help them respond to complex customer needs.
