SOG Jammu arrests three alleged Khauf gang members in Delhi

The Special Operations Group (SOG) Jammu has arrested three alleged members of the Khauf gang during an operation in Delhi.

The primary suspect, Karanjit Singh, also known as ‘Gugga’, is wanted in 13 different cases, including the Gataroo murder case. He faces various charges such as attempt to murder, assault, rioting, and illegal possession of weapons. Singh was previously involved in an escape from the R S Pura Observation Home alongside two Pakistani inmates, an incident that reportedly involved firing and injuries to police personnel.

Two other associates were also apprehended: Naresh Kumar, known as ‘Major’, who is linked to violent assault and rioting cases and is a close associate of the absconder Sunil Kumar, also known as ‘Gokul’; and Rahul Kumar, known as ‘Sundi’, who is facing charges related to the smuggling of narcotics into jail premises under the NDPS Act and the Prisons Act.

These arrests are part of an ongoing investigation by the Jammu Police and the SOG into organized criminal networks and the location of absconders.
