Sohag Governor inspects healthcare facilities in Al-Balyana

Sohag Governor Tarek Rashed conducted a field inspection of several health facilities in the Al-Balyana center to evaluate medical service levels and identify sector needs. Accompanied by Deputy Governor Kamal Suleiman and other officials, the tour included visits to various medical sites.

Rashed inspected the construction progress of the Al-Balyana Central Hospital, a project under the presidential ‘Decent Life’ initiative. He directed officials to resolve any obstacles hindering the project and expedite procedures to ensure the hospital enters service quickly to support local residents.

The inspection also covered the Al-Balyana Fever Hospital, where the Governor reviewed departments including laboratories, radiology, emergency, and the pharmacy. He emphasized the need to address staffing requirements, improve efficiency, and provide adequate facilities for patients. Additionally, the Governor visited the Beni Hamil Family Medicine Unit to meet with citizens and assess service quality, stressing the importance of professional conduct and the rapid resolution of obstacles facing rural health units.
