Sohag man kills wife and two men following alleged blackmail

A man has been detained in Sohag, Egypt, following a violent incident that left his wife and two men dead. According to investigations, the suspect, who had been working in Libya to support his family, returned to Egypt after discovering videos of his wife with another individual.

The suspect claims that the victims used the footage to blackmail his wife for money. He alleged that after she was unable to meet their financial demands, the videos were posted online. Upon his return, the suspect confronted one of the men in front of a shop, subsequently went to his home and killed his wife with a white weapon, and then proceeded to a workshop where he fatally attacked two other young men.

Authorities in Sohag have arrested both the suspect and his brother, who is suspected of involvement. During questioning, the suspect reportedly expressed no remorse for his actions. The case remains under investigation as authorities examine witness statements and forensic evidence.
