Sohag University graduates first environmental research cohort and opens new notary office
Sohag University in Egypt held a ceremony to confer degrees on the inaugural batch of postgraduate researchers from its College of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research. The graduation included 75 diploma graduates across programs such as occupational safety, microbiology, medical laboratory analysis, biophysics and radiation pollution, as well as 80 students who completed preparatory master's studies and 20 who finished preparatory doctorate studies in fields like environmental crisis management, environmental monitoring, biotechnology and green chemistry.
In a separate development, the university inaugurated a new Real Estate Registration and Documentation Office on its new campus. The office provides notarization and registration services for faculty, staff, students and the public, eliminating the need to travel off‑site. Equipped with modern computers and linked to the Egypt Digital Portal, the facility aims to deliver fast, efficient governmental services within the university.
Both events reflect the institution’s push to expand academic programs and improve campus services for its community.
