Sohag University medical team saves man from fatal chest wound
A medical team at Sohag University’s Emergency Hospital successfully saved the life of a 40-year-old man following a severe penetrating knife wound to the chest. The injury was critical, with the blade entering through the front of the chest and exiting through the back.
Upon arrival, the patient exhibited unstable vital signs and severe internal bleeding. Surgeons discovered a penetrating wound in the left lung accompanied by damaged blood vessels. The surgical team managed to control the bleeding and repair the lung tissue.
Following the procedure, the patient was moved to the intensive care unit. Medical officials reported that the patient’s condition is improving and he has been removed from a ventilator.
