Sohag University partners with Orchidia for free eye care initiative

Sohag University has signed a cooperation protocol with Orchidia Pharmaceutical Industries to launch the ‘Your Eyes in Our Eyes’ initiative. This program aims to deploy specialized medical convoys to provide free eye examinations and early detection of eye diseases across various villages and centers in the Sohag Governorate.

Under the agreement, Sohag University will provide scientific and medical supervision, including specialized medical staff, faculty members, doctors, nurses, and technicians. The university will also coordinate the timing and locations of the convoys and refer patients requiring advanced examinations or surgical interventions to Sohag University hospitals.

Orchidia Pharmaceutical Industries will be responsible for operating the mobile clinic used for the convoys, ensuring technical readiness, and providing necessary medications, medical supplies, and educational materials regarding eye health and prevention. The initiative seeks to support the local healthcare system and raise awareness about eye care.
