Sohail Afridi announces major protest plan in Swabi

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has announced a major planned demonstration in Swabi, stating that the scale of the upcoming gathering will surprise political opponents. Speaking to participants of a long march in Marga Bazar, Mardan, Afridi noted that Section 804 is currently in effect throughout Mardan.

Afridi encouraged supporters of Imran Khan to reach Swabi by any means necessary, including motorcycles, bicycles, or on foot, to ensure a massive turnout. He emphasized that the protest will remain peaceful and that the large number of participants is intended to deter any use of force or violence.

The Chief Minister asserted that arrests and what he termed ‘governor rule’ or emergency measures would not diminish the resolve of the protesters, who intend to march from Peshawar to De Chowk.
