Sojin Nishino places sixth in bodybuilding debut

Sojin Nishino, a member of the comedy duo Korokoro Chikitiki Peppers, placed sixth in his bodybuilding debut at the 2nd Tochigi Prefecture Men's Bodybuilding Open held on September 20 in Oyama, Tochigi.

Competing in the 170cm and under category, Nishino advanced through the preliminary rounds to reach the finals. During his one-minute free pose, he used music from his award-winning comedy routine ‘King of Conte’ to entertain the audience.

Nishino expressed deep satisfaction with his performance, stating that while he felt a mix of anxiety and tension, he ultimately enjoyed the experience. He noted that the competition served as a starting line for him and expressed a strong desire to continue competing to improve his physique. Nishino also shared his gratitude for his comedy partner, Nadal, who provided loud vocal support from the front row during the event.
