Sojitz Tech Innovation launches Trade Hub process templates to accelerate trade DX

Sojitz Tech Innovation has introduced “Process Templates” for its trade digital transformation (DX) solution, Trade Hub. Available to new users as of October 22, 2026, these templates provide pre-configured standard processes for both import and export operations, aiming to reduce the time from initial business hearing to system completion by approximately 50%.

The initiative addresses significant challenges in the trade industry, where reliance on manual processes—such as Excel, email, and PDF—often leads to “individualized expertise” (zokujinka). According to the “Trade Business White Paper 2026,” 43.6% of respondents reported that only specific personnel understand certain procedures, and 42.6% noted that irregular responses are not documented. This lack of standardization creates operational risks, such as delays during staff absences and difficulty in training new employees.

The new templates integrate AI-OCR data conversion, automatic document verification, and progress management into a single workflow. For exporters, this includes creating shipping instructions and verifying bills of lading. For importers, it covers verifying contract details against shipping documents and digitizing import permits. By providing a standardized foundation, companies can focus on adjusting only their specific unique rules rather than designing entire workflows from scratch.
