Sokolov hosts Miner's Day celebrations and regional events

Sokolov will host the traditional Miner's Day on Saturday, September 5. The celebration includes a ceremonial parade starting from the Church of St. Anthony of Padua, followed by musical performances, cultural programs, and emergency service demonstrations.

Due to the festivities, several road closures and parking restrictions will be in effect in central Sokolov. Restrictions begin Friday evening, September 4, affecting Odboje Street and areas near the Municipal House of Culture. On Saturday, additional closures will impact Pionýrů and Rooseveltova streets.

Other regional activities include a goulash cooking competition in Nebanice on September 5 and a historical exhibition at the Dvorana cultural center in Loket, which runs through September 11.
