Sokolov municipal elections feature seven competing political groups

In Sokolov, seven political groups, movements, and coalitions are competing for seats in the upcoming municipal elections. The local council consists of 27 members.

Key candidates include Erik Klimeš for the ANO 2011 movement, Ladislav Sedláček for Pro město Sokolov (ODS), and Miroslav Balatka for Starostové. Other competing groups include KDU-ČSL, Společně pro Sokolov, VOK, SPD/Svobodní, and TOP Sokolov.

In the previous election, ANO won 11 mandates with 34.29 percent of the vote, forming a coalition with Společně pro Sokolov and VOK. Following the resignation of Petr Kubis, who became regional governor, Renata Oulehlová currently serves as mayor.
