African Democratic Congress ramps up 2027 election preparations
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is intensifying its preparations for Nigeria’s 2027 general elections through various regional and national initiatives.
Nationally, ADC Chairman David Mark has declared the party’s commitment to following electoral rules while vowing to resist any attempts at rigging or manipulation. The party’s presidential campaign council has also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remain an unbiased umpire and urged the decentralization of Permanent Voter Card (PVC) collection to ensure voter accessibility.
At the state level, ADC candidates are outlining specific regional platforms. In Sokoto, Manir Dan’Iya is advocating for improved teacher welfare and salary security. In Zamfara, Bilyaminu Yusuf Shinkafi is launching grassroots mobilization efforts, while in Gombe, Bala Bello Tinka has pledged to lift nighttime restrictions on commercial motorcycle operators and prioritize free education.
