Sokoto armored vehicle deployment reduces bandit attacks

The deployment of armored vehicles by the Sokoto State government has led to a significant reduction in bandit attacks in the Sabon Birni Local Government Area, according to local officials.

Alhaji Hashimu Dantudu, Chairman of Sabon Birni, stated that the increased presence of security personnel and new equipment has helped restore confidence among residents. He credited Governor Ahmed Aliyu for the procurement of the vehicles, which serve as a major boost to security operations in the region.

As part of a broader effort to combat banditry and criminal elements, the state government recently acquired 62 armored vehicles and 2,000 motorcycles for distribution to security agencies across the state.
