Sokołów Podlaski district reports two fatal incidents

Two fatal incidents occurred on September 9 in the Sokołów Podlaski district.

A 17-year-old resident of the district drowned in a water reservoir at a former quarry in Hilarów. Following a rescue operation involving divers and the State Fire Service, the teenager was transported by air ambulance to the Warsaw Children's Health Center, where he later died. Police are investigating the circumstances of the drowning.

On the same day, a fatal road accident took place on Oleksiaka Wichury Street in Sokołów Podlaski. A 56-year-old female cyclist was killed instantly after colliding with a MAN truck during a turning maneuver. Authorities and prosecutors are working to determine the exact details of the collision.
